Yes. It's about the worst method you could choose.

Even if you had a dedicated load balancer, there are different methods to balance. The cheapest boxes offer usually a Round-robin load balancing which is pretty lame too. There are two more intelligent methods.

Advantage of this DNS load balancing is, that you can place your servers all over the world - that's what d.net did
