Have ME and XP happy together on the M748LMRT. No problems that way.

I just have the screaming squirts thinkin' about doing it again on my home box after the 4 or 5 installs of 98se that lost the IDE channels and screwed the partition info.

Had 98se original. Put in fresh install XP, went fine. LL format and put in 98 on C:, then XP on D:, all fine. THEN, go back into 98 to install some games. No CD ROMS, no IDE channels! Red X's in "System". Part table died, C & D merged!

Several LLs and several crapped out 98 installs (XP never got out of the jewel case) later, put XP itself back on. All fine.

Used Original 98 CD and backup copies. No difference.

I was just now responding to rumors (grasping at straws - It Wasn't My Fault!!) that XP could adjust the BIOS to it's tastes.

I must have neglected to unplug my ZIP drive from the IDE.

Remember, in the dictionary, MORON has my picture, biography, address, phone number.............
