Thanks for the info. It's a no on the Gateway. The card came from a standard Mom & Pop clone manufacturer. (PC Chips board and whatever was on the shelf at the time).
I'll check the numbers and stick the chip under an electron microscope for more data but at least I have a clue where to go to look for drivers.
