An IDE raid O (speed not safety) setup would be cheaper & faster, thou really I am not impressed with actual raid speed write times is still slow (read is faster but not by 100%).
Most people would see no avantage with SCSI if fact my old IDE's would launch the games faster then the SCSI did.
