I have an old Pentium laptop that used to work fine but now it is getting old and very often when I am using it the laptop will reset itself for no reason. Sometimes it will reset itself many times in the same second and all I can see is the lights flashing, the only way to fix that is to turn it off and back on. I do not have a reset button on the laptop so it is not a stuck button. I thought maybe my OS was the problem or maybe I was using a bad program so I went into the bios and waited and the same thing happened. I do not have any power management enabled and it does not make a difference. This will happen if I am running from the battery or from the powerpack, it is not happening because of a bad battery. I have even run from the powerpack and taken out the battery completely and it still happens. Does anyone know what could be wrong and how I could fix it? I can fix things on a desktop PC but never tried to take a laptop apart, if someone can tell me what to do I should be able to do it. I hope it is not broken and I need to buy a new one. Do laptops have a powersuppy in them like on a desktop computer and can I change it if it is broken? Do you think it is the problem? Thankyou a lot!
