Hi,

One of my Compaq Proliant servers broke down this morning. I use BackupExec as backupsystem, and now I have to restore those files to a different Server to get things up and running.

The problem is I can't see or restore this tape in another servers BackupExec, why?

I would think that this would be possible, it's the same Backup-program on both servers, the same sort of tapes just different contents on them.

Why can't I restore my files from one server on another? I tried with NT-backup, but I need BackupExec because I have backup up databases in SQL and NT-Backup doesn't recognize that.

Please advice! It's my companies economy-server and we are in the middle of the year-end-closure.
