Personally, I would check it anyway. Different mobos, different tolerances to an under-par performing PS. Have you cleaned it at least, just to be on the safe side? Like I said I had the same symptoms with a good 300W PS; after I replaced it with a 350W, I haven't had a problem.
To me it sounds more like a malfunctioning DIMM, although you could be right, and it is the Mobo.
