Stealing my ideas, I had the drawer idea weeks ago, I even had a non working MoBo sitting where
the drawer goes with some cards plugged in.

I have these big benches that hold all my puter
stuff & I needed to hold up these solid heavy hotel doors (cheap used). @ work they were throwing out all these short 2x2 that were ripped.
What I ended up designing was cheap drawer holders
with no fancy rails or rollers. They are on the edge of the bench ends & when 2 benches meet end to end one drawer works fine to hold them both.

They look like a latter with the bottom feet cut off (4 drawers height). It take 2 of these per end or joint & in the middle is the 4 boards that join the front & back latters together (where the drawers slide on. Yes the wood is on the floor for the bottom drawer, & the top has 4 feet, never dropped a bench yet & you can walk on them on problem & no they are not tied down, I moved once.
Depth 30 1/4".

I have smaller depth versions of the bench drawer holders for the storage shelfs above, these are old light closet doors people have thrown out.
Depth 17"
I had plans on paneling the drawer holders & in making the drawers but never made the time. I do
grab drawers people throw out that fit close.
Hole size for all drawers are 12" by 5".

Bob
