Anybody know if any more popular linux
distributions are based on Debian?
I've got Debian installed on an XP 1800+ with 1Gig
DDR at work (yes, it rocks.) and I'm trying to
install a package of lexmark printer drivers.
Only problem is, Lexmark assumes that you're
running Redhat, Caldera, SuSE, or TurboLinux. Not
even a Slackware in there. (These manufacturers
are getting as stupid with Linux as they all used
to be with Windows a year or so back.)
Are any of these based on Debian? If not, do you
know if any of them are very similar with file
locations, etc?
Thanks
Chris
