In the days of old before these super PC's of nowdays if you keep your computer case close
the worst offender would be the (TV type) tubes in the monitors (use high voltage). For one thing we sit real close to a computer monitor so unlike a TV which we watch from much farther back from, dangerest for woman with baby. The newer cases & monitor's do help cut down on the Electro Magnetic Forces (sheilded with metal & ground connections). EMF is created by all electrical devices even presence in the wires that feed them, thou a battery does not create that much, house wiring does, even xmas lights, the factor is distance.
You want to freak out hold a strong magnet near a grinder, if it is a super strong magnet you will not be able to keep it still. Do you have an xmas light tester ?
walk to your TV with it on or try it under edison power lines. Weak EMF is alway present in nature, even the ground has some (dowsing for water), compass's use the earth magnetic poles, even the big bang is still hitting use today along with our sun.

Then there is the wireless phones & cell phones debates if they are they safe.
BTW I do keep the cover off my internet computer case.

Bob
