kinda depends, if the Q3-optimized portion is actually a partial implementation of an overall driver update that ATi is working on, then this is questionable ethics in reporting but...

OTOH, if they were expecting to be able to pull this off under the table simply as a marketing/PR stunt, then they need a few good slaps across that lyin' kisser.
