I can be joined to the ever growing list of people who are having No Post problems with the AK31. My brand spankin' new systems consists of:

Shuttle AK31 rev3.1
AMD Athlon 1.3GHz CPU
2 x 256MB PC2100 DDR Unbuffered Non-Parity RAM Crucial #CT3264Z265
ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 32MB DDR Video Card
TurboCase ATX888K/320W case
CWT-320ATX-12V Power Supply
Not Installed - Seagate Barracuda IV 40MB ATA/100 hard drive
Not Installed - Pioneer 16x Slot-Load DVD
Not Installed - LinkSys 10/100 Lan Card

Since I'm a first timer and didn't want to screw the whole thing up worrying about the heatsink, I had the motherboard and CPU assembled by mwave.com before shipping so I'm assuming that there's no problem there.

When I power up the system, the motherboard light comes on, all the fans (CPU, video card, etc.) spin and I get some slight humming, but no post, no video.

I'm using a monitor that I KNOW is good, went and bought new memory (also non-registered, I believe), I've tried swapping the video card and I've taken this thing apart and started over three times.

From all the things I've read (in almost 2 non-stop days of reading about this problem), my options are few:

(a) Try putting the RAM in Slots 1 and 4 instead of 1 and 2
(b) Try installing a 400W power supply
(c) Switching to registered ECC memory (Crucial #CT3272Y265)
(d) Clearing the CMOS
(e) Running the board with the Clear CMOS jumper on pins 2/3 instead of 1/2 (although I'm not even sure you CAN do that).
(f) Return the board and try again - this is the one that I LEASE want to do

I'm going to start working my way through this list. If anyone has any suggestions about any of these options, I (and others I'm sure) would love to hear them.

Thanks for the help,
Barbara
