My Value rig has a lowly Duron 850@1050 1.85 volts on an ECS-K7S5A, with 256 Meg of Crucial pc2100 DDR. A friend gave me an ASUS V7100 (MX-32Meg), so it's currently O/C'd to 210/175 and installed on the ECS board.

The V5 is on my trusy old 1 GHz T-Bird MSI-K7PRO rig with 512 Meg of sdram.

However, the V5 is consistantly outperformed by the junk MX by about 20% in benchmarks. I see about that much difference in gaming too.

Ouch, no wonder 3Dfx is dead. Their 64 Meg Voodoo 5500 was supposed to go head to head with the GTS, and it's badly whipped by a vanilla 32 meg MX?

I thought that maybe the DDR platform was the reason, so I put the V5 into the SIS-735 rig. NOT A PRETTY SITE. Benchies and games weren't noticibly different than with a 1 GHz T-Bird Pc100 machine.

Lesson learned. Your video card is the end-all-and-be-all of gaming.
