Yea, I tried it for the first time at a 80+ person lan party about 6 months ago. It is a kick in the pants. If you like DOD you should try Operation Flashpoint. It has a slight learning curve but the gameplay is the most realistic of any combat sim I have played.

Another really neat thing is my friend and I were able to take a picuture with a digital camera and place our face on the wire frame models in the game. This is very fun to play when everyone of your teammates has their actual face.
