I don't see the point of getting rid of legacy stuff, anyway. The ISA bus doesn't slow your system down...just makes your motherboard a little bigger. And how many people have all of their PCI slots full, anyway, unless they have a name brand PC with 1 slot. (But that's their own stupid fault.)
USB keyboards and mice make no sense to me, either. What are the only two advantages to USB? Hot swappable, and 1.5Mbps, rather than 115Kbps. How many people can type, or move a mouse, faster than 115Kbps?! And how many people need to regularly unplug their mouse or keyboard while their computer is on? If you've got dedicated ports, you'll never need to, because you can't use them for anything else.
Now, as far as floppies go....does Intel seriously think every computer in the world is on the internet? What if you need to transfer a word processing file from the Pentium 166 that your kids have in their room (which isn't on the internet for a reason) to the main computer, which is the one with the printer? Buy a $75 networking kit for want of a $18 floppy drive?
Are Comp. Sci. students supposed to buy CD-R's and a burner to be able to hand in their projects now?

Ok...I've got to stop ranting......(deep breaths, deep breaths....)
