I have run into a problem while trying to upgrade a cusl intel 815i to the ECS board. Seems like everything went ok until I tried to install the sis pci ide driver located on the mobo disk and then things went awry. Now, dispite my best attempts and every trick I know I can't get the computer to find IDE divices once it has auto detected the controller installs the driver and tries to reboot. I really don't want have to reinstall the 30 or so programs located on this box. I was wondering if anyone could try and shed some light on this.

I remember MS saying something about a possible flakey IDE driver or something and now it has become a reality.
