Trying to set up a Linux SUSE 700 box but whenever the system initializes, the link light on the Ethernet card (SMC 9332BDT goes off) and the connection breaks down. The SMC card is not natively supported by SUSE but is similar to one of the DEC cards supported. SMC only has a 3 pages .txt file as driver.

Kind of lost here.
