Not on the heat issue, but on the fan idea. I was doing some tinkering, and the fools at SOYO have set the whole mess to beep and shut down if there's no fan hooked up to CHAFAN1 which BTW is about 4 inches farther away from the CPU fan than any fan cable I've ever seen could reach. What a bunch of morons. Seems my probs are solved. Thanks for your help MS and all of the rest of you

P.S. 48 is high? This box has been running between 56 and 60 for the past nine months without any troubles. Damned superorb!
