I am no pro but I see two possible problems with all that stuff & the xtra RAM & the high speed CPU that really is pushing the Power Supply Unit. Also most ATI video cards suck at playing
games & with all the power you have a software decoder is more then fine, with an AMD CPU
a 600 MHz would do software just fine yours is overkill. If you really like the ATI solution for a better picture & or just the hardware decoder I would wait for the next generation version that is
a GeForce 3 type (Directx 8) that way you will be able to run next years games with no problems & not throw money away on a video card that will not carry you into the future.
