I have a problem with my new system. I have a t-Bird 1.4GHz 256MB DDR RAM, runnint at 266 FSB. I was using an old 3Dfx Voodoo 3 16MB Vid card. I was having a problem with what I thought was Win2K. Windows would jsut freeze up on me. I have now noticed that teh vid card was very, very, very hot. The card is air cooled heatsink, no fan. Can anyone explain to me what may be the problem. I was running the card with BIOS settinsg AGP SPEED 2X not 4x. One thought that I has was is there an issue with video cards and using the faster FSB rather than the slower fsb, and this causeing the AGP Vid Card to overclock and thus overheat? Just an idea, I may be way off. BTW, i put a PCI vid card in teh system, and it runs stable. I also have all the settings on Auto where available except when I selected either PCI or AGP and the AGP Speed
