Ben, there are several online scanners that are free. Trend's Housecall, McAfee has one too and so does AVX. You can D/L trial versions of AVX, NOD32 etc. And Inoculate IT is free to home users.
So there are plenty out their and most of them work quite well (Altho I never could get McAfee's online scan to run on my computer without locking it up, but I use housecall as a backup scan) Just go to google, type in Antivirus Software and start looking and reading. Lots to pick from and check out. I'm sure you'll find what you need.
