I got the same treatment about a month ago, for my own Tbird! I bought an AXXIA 1gig, that was running hot and crashing under a Super Orb, and when I tried to remove the fan/hs I cracked the core. My retailer wouldn't take it back, cause he said his own wholesaler wouldn't, so in my despair I called AMD. The TSO that answered (her name was Christine), heard my story and said she would replace it with a 900Mhz Tbird. Sure enough, not even three days later the CPU arrived at my doorstep. Funny thing was that that one was another AXXIA and I managed to oc it to 1.3 gig! Needless to say when AMD send me a survey through email to mark the performance of their TSO, I marked them as excellent, 'cause that is what they were: excellent! |
