I'm using one of the best cd-rw on the market: plextor 12x10x32 which has the ability to burn cd-r's at 4x, 8x, 10x and 12x speeds. The Cd-rs in use are Sony supremas, which are fairly good.
But by verifying with "cd-r diagnostic", cd-rs burned with same iso image at different speeds surprisingly differ in the final accuracy count:
4x results in 0% recoverable error, and 0% unrecoverable error,
8x results in 0.31% recoverable error, and 0% unrecoverable error,
10x results in 0.40% recoverable error, and 0% unrecoverable error,
Why is this? I thought burning at any with-in-spec speed should result in identical product.
