Actually the card wasn't in it when I reinstalled WIN98 after the Stack overflow. Which would automatically make you think it was a bad stick of ram. However I changed sticks at that time and same thing, so then I tried a different HDD, same thing and then I disabled the onboard sound and wala...everything was AOK with the original HDD and Ram back in it. Have another stick of PC133 256 meg I may stick in it to make sure but I still honestly think it's the sound drivers.

Copied your how to. Thanks....will see what this gets me. Just wanted another set of drivers before I went through all that BS. Just in case. LED, put a link to some more. Sledge is sending the originals... One of these has got to work?????

I have a SB Live on the other machine (Athlon Classic 600@700) and it's fine. No problems, except once I had to reinstall the drivers because a CL driver was corrupted. I used the drivers off the X-Gamer and it works like a champ now. Kids are handy sometimes.....son had the X-Gamer.
