My wife's machine is an Epox MVP3G-M K6-3 450+ @550. It's a really sweet combination.
It runs really cool, so I can use a really quiet fan (delta need not apply).
It's actually a zippy machine for surfing the net and recording music tracks.
I've actually made it a goal to see how cheaply I can max out this rig. To date it's got some really neato albeit obsolete stuff:
A3D Vortex 2, (free after rebate), a $32 Voodoo 3000 PCI, $98 Samsung 17" Syncmaster 753DF monitor, a $20 creative pci 56k modem blaster, and a floor model Lexmark Z52 inkjet that I talked Circuit City down to $39 because it had no ink cartridges. (I had spares at home already).
Yeh, the 1 Ghz T-Bird runs rings around it gaming. But, the K6-3+ boots twice as fast! Seriously, a K6-3+ is still a damned fine machine.
