The P4 by design is a speed CPU whereas most CPU are muscle type that only go up to so fast unless
there is a die size change, the P3 is a good example of a muscle CPU that is near the end of its life span. The P4 on the other hand will top out somewhere around 4 to 5.5 GHz.
IA-64 will have a short life also.
