Samsung still develops and manufactures Alpha processors. And API (Alpha Processor Inc) is still around.

But I can't believe how stupid Compaq is for giving up on the Alpha. I have used several DEC Alphastations and the Alpha beats the crap out of any x86 machine I've ever used.
