I have hacked the registry according to (gulp) instructions for Win95 and added MaxMTU key @ 576 and I wanted to check that I had got it right.

How do I check maximum transmission unit for my USB-cable connection ?


This is to help with playing Emperor on Westwoods matching service This service matches players and allows them to connect directly. But curiously whenever I connect to other players (eg 56k or 150k modems) using a Motorola SB4100 512k CableTV network cable modem, I get a terrible slowdown possibly due to packet splitting ? I am no expert but some of you people are and I wondered if you had any ideas.
