any 7200 rpm drive will be fine... ive had luck with maxtor... others havent... had no luck with western digital others have no problems... all a matter of opinion... depending on what motherboard u have will make a difference if the ata 66 or 100 will make any improvements... if u dont know it doesnt matter because there all backwards compatible. just make sure u get a 7200 rpm drive it will make the biggest performance gain...
