Where are my searches stored?

I go to google.com and click in the search box.
A box opens containing everything I have ever searched for. I know how to clean this out - that's easy it turns out.
BUT - where is it stored?
I can't find the bugger anywhere. Did text search whole computer for one of the entries - no good.
Set date to next week just before I enter new item in box and searched, checked all files changed then - no good. (At least in English, not gibberish!)
Cleaned out cookies, Temp Int files, even went into DOS and deltreed out the index.dat in cookies, all to no avail.
WHERE IS THE BUGGER?!?!???????
