I hope that the excercises recommended on the Shields Up website are helpful for reducing the likelihood of malicious hackers gaining access to an OS.

I realise I am not well educated in this kind of thing - I went there after a virus apparently jumped from an FTP site and forced me to do my first ever OS reinstall. (Oh happy day!) So please disabuse me if my sense of security is a false one .
