i strongely suspect you have the wrong type slocket for the PIII cpu.
the slocket you have is for the older celey architecture ONLY, you need one that will run the PIII's. this can be confusing at first.
there are two kinds of slockets out there. ones that run celeys only and one that are coppermine and the older celey compatible.
the newer 100FSB celeys also need the newer style slockets to run.
once you change to the right one, you will be up and running just fine.
