Been having some weird troubles that I haven't yet resolved.
The relevant system components are: MSI K7-Pro (Slot A, AMD 750 chipset), Tbird @ 800, 256MB, CL SBLive! Value, GeForceMX, WinMe, 12X DVD-ROM drive, Windows Me.
Anyways, I can launch Cyberlink PowerDVD with a DVD in the drive, and the program loads -- but when I click "Play" and go to fullscreen, frequently it will lock up. Sometimes, it will get to the DVD's custom menu screen, but then lock up there. If I can get to the actual movie, it will play through with no further problems. Whenever it locks up, the mouse cursor will be an hourglass and can still be moved, but that's all.
If memory serves this didn't happen before I enabled DMA mode for the DVD-ROM (in the device manager) but before I enabled DMA the playback would sometimes stutter and chop.
Have the AMD DriverPack 1.0 installed, along with Detonator drivers for the GeForceMX. Recent CL drivers for the soundcard, DirectX 8.0, WinMe, yadda yadda.
Any ideas?
