pointers. If you use armored wire, you can use the shielding as ground. This way, any wire that is connected to the armored will be grounded. Needless to say that you will need a good ground sink, don't go with the aluminum, use copper.

The metal boxes you use for housing the receptacles are connected to the armor and, thus, also provide ground.

Up to code is also, if you don't have ground running anywhere, to use a 30 Amp wire and connect it to the next cold water line or else a radiator (provided that you are not living on hot air, hehe). The latter is the simplest solution, effective and cheap but you should keep that ground away from other grounds, especially if you have a fridge that is bleeding current into ground which can rake havoc with the existing loops.
