Well, I picker up a 266 bus 1000mhz thunderbird last weekend and got the pencil trick to work. Only problem is I can't go past 1100mhz. If I set the stepping past 11 it stays at 1100. I think it may have done 1150 when I set it to 12.5 but I'm not sure. I'm currently using a KT7-raid board. Has anybody read of this problem any where. I've never seen it mentioned. Any ideas are welcomed because it will probably be a couple of months before I can get a new motherboard.
