I already tried checking for ghosts, but I didn't find any. My computer is acting very wierd now so I'll zap one of my fresh windows intall images onto the drive. Here's an example of the flakiness: when I shutdown I always get an error saying that the task manager has made a error and will now be shut down! How annoying. I will wait a while though before doing so just to make sure I don't forget to backup anything. Has it ever happened to you that just after pressing enter after the "format c:" command that you thought: "Damn, I forgot to..." . It's happened to me lots! So I now try to make it a rule not to do anything drastic without letting the problem sit for a while. Last time I formatted my drive I forgot to backup my "favorites" folder and lost a lot of email!
