I know I've seen figures >10 on my 56k, but I tend to think it's just a bit misleading..
even if you connect @ 56667kbps,
56667 / 8 = 7083bytes/sec = 7KB/sec
plus it would be lower due to varying factors...

or am I just confusing some crap up?

most I get is like 5.5KB/sec
