the drivers that come with the Logitech and MS USB mice allow you to tweak the PS/2 sample rate when you hook it up with the PS/2 converter. My Logitech defaults to 100hz, but can go up to 200hz. I think the default PS/2 rate is 40-60hz. The tweak gets it up there so the sampling rate is just as good as the USB port, and like Ben said, the PS2 is a dedicated port unlike USB. |
