I previously had a gigabyte 7IX (old-skool slot athlon mobo). For some reason it decided to short circuit or something.
I now have an Asus A7v 133 and it's stable AS!! (even with win 98)
I leave it going 24 / 7 with an unlimited dialup connection, my highest connection to date is 150hours straight..
lol, wonder if I can beat it.
anyway, the point is that you can't go wrong with Asus, sure you pay more, but the quality justifies the xtra $$$
