My computer has a Pentium Pro mother board that came with one PPro-180 chip. I recently upgraded to a dual pentium configuration by installing a second PPro-180 chip along with the required VRM module. My computer does not appear to be performing any better. How do I verify that the operating system is actaully using the second processor?

The computer is a Micron Millenia Pro2, 160Mb Ram (upgraded from 32MB), running Win98R2.

I posed this same question to Micron and receive a lame response about how they do not support hardware that was not installed by them. I also scoured the Intel website and found nothing that would help me. What I did find was a generic letter from customer service stating that the ppro chip is no longer supported by Intel phone or email support.

I would appreciate any insight anyone could provide.

Thanks.
