I've had a 6163 Pro rev. 2 for a while, and I'm prepping it to give to my brother. As MS noted, the SDRAM timings are locked at 2 cycles, so you may hit a wall with your RAM unless you get some good PC133. I have a P2 300 on mine that I ran at 504 (4.5*112) for a long time on a BH6. It does 525 (4.5*117) just fine on the MSI board. I'm using a 128 MB stick of PC100 CAS2. I thinka good goal for you without buying new RAM would be 760 (117*6.5). I'm assuming, of course, that your board has 117 MHz bus. I don't know if the first revision did or not. |
