You could try to just take everything out of the comp except 1 stick of ram, boot harddrive and vidcard and floppy. then try to boot.

do a scandisk check to see, if some files got screwed up as your bro switched the comp off.

if everything works, good. then put one part after an other in and always try to boot until you find the bad part... boot to savemode and throw its drivers out.
