and all of those who lent help on my leap from Intel to AMD technology last nite, all is well! i decided to format and start from scratch, and my baby is purring along with nary a problem. i followed the install instruction from "Pauls Unofficial KT7A FAQs" webpage and everthing is hunky-dorey. my machine could've used an enema anyway, so it was about time. seeing vast improve ments already speedwise ( from an o'clocked PIII 966 to a Tbird 1.2), and i haven't even o'clocked yet. windows load faster and im getting 70-80 fps in Unreal Tourney, as opposed to 55-60, SMOKIN'. needless to say i am glad i made the switch, and thanks to all who helped. |
