I'm having a problem upgrading the RAM memory in a computer that I'm working on. It's an AST computer that's four to five years old, Pentium Class. It originally had 16 MB of RAM (2-8MB SIMMS), and we're attempting to install 2 additional 16MB FPM SIMMS. After installing them, the computer correctly recognizes the 48MB RAM in the computer, but Windows will not properly load except in Safe Mode. Bootlog.txt shows that the last action before the computer froze was:

"Initializing drvwppqt.vxd ....."

After that, the computer sits there for hours on end with no CPU usage / etc.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks much!

Ben
