Has he tried different slots? If is mobo only has one ISA slot and he is using ISA NIC's then maybe bad slot or ISA interface. If hes is using PCI NIC's then tell him to move around some of his other cards and put the NIC card in a known good one!! With him using different OS's, the problem has to be hardware!!!
