what's the difference between Napster and all those warez sites? Most people use Napster to take songs that they never paid for (I say most, some do use it for legit purposes). Some might even call it stealing. People say "yeah, but those music companies have been overcharging us for years...". The same argument is used many, many times by warez users about software companies making us pay way too much (microsoft anybody?). So what's the fundamental difference? I don't know. I'm just wondering about your opinions.

Personally, I've used Napster many times. Sometimes I owned a damaged cd and Napster helped me get my songs back. Other times, I download songs to which I don't own the rights so I'm no better than anybody else. I do think though that Napster is good for the music buisness 'cause it allows people to taste a bit of everything. It like other people have said, you can try it before you buy it. You can always spend hours remaking entire albums and such, but most people will prefer owning the physical cd. It's nicer to look at, you can read the inserts, it's easy to bring with you, you can touch it! Anyway I'll quit my yapping and try to get some sleep for a change,

Salutations,

Hugh
