The switch must have been a switch that push on & stays on & push again to turn off, like the old AT
case switches. The new switches for ATX type PS &
MoBo require a momontary contact then returns to
Normaly Open, a standby circuit for the new MoBo's
needs this (a digital switch).
Figures I missed this call as I got caught in this trap myself on my first ATX PS MoBo.
A keyboard could also stop the PS for starting
anything at all.
