I moved to a different network card the @home was a cheap ISA & I am now using a PCI 3com type that my HUB will see. I have pulled the ISA card & left the drivers which should not load anyways. The PCI
3com crad is pluged directly into the @home modem just thru a longer cable. @home is not working thru my HUB but this is not the reason for the post. The only other change is IE was added so my stepson can do his college homework over the net.
Win 98 first version, 64 MB of ram, 160 MB free on C:, netscape D: 60 MB free, virual drive 125 MB free.
Here is the problem the system is freezing for 2 to 4 seconds & nothing is going on no HD activity
which is where I have frooze in the past with little HD space left with only 1 to 3 windows open.
Here is the really weird part I turned on system monitor & the freezing stops 80 % was the most used & only happend once does not go any higher
then 38% now.
So I have to assume something is hiding in my system, could a virus do this ? as my register is
clean
