I made my weekly raid on CompUSA to pick up their "freebies". I got home and discovered that today's newspaper's ad freebie Hi-Val ($19.99 - $20 mailin rebate = free) soundcard is actually an Aureal AU8830A2 A3D 2.0 soundcard.

Yeh, the soundcard is from a dead company and it won't run games in win2k. But hey, it's literally a TurtleBeach MontegoII for free.

This is quite a cherry for the spare computer.

Just thought that I'd share this info. I still hate CompUSA, but the freebie stuff isn't too bad.
