yeah of course, I cleared it. But that's not the issue any longer. I found out the problem and am again at a loss when it comes down to solving it. My new Hercules 3D Prophet II Mx is to blame. When I insert another AGP card the clock reads (5.5 times 83) 458 Mhz. When I put the GeForce back in, it goes down to 366.
It can't be a card driver issue and I'm not all too confident a new card BIOS will mend this particular fence. I find no setting within BIOS that would influence this, so I'd really appreciate some public brainstorming
